Dr. Ericka Harney, CAE, CFRE, GPC, CVA
Dr. Ericka Harney, CFRE, GPC, CAE, CVA has 25 years of experience in fundraising, grant development, training, strategic planning, and nonprofit management. She is responsible for successful fundraising and grant awards of over $40 million. At Harney & Associates, Ericka serves a variety of clients around the country, including nonprofits, governments, and universities.
She is a National Instructor for Grant Writing USA and an Assistant Professor at Future Generations University. Her Ph.D. is in Organizational Leadership, with a concentration in Nonprofit, from Eastern University and an Master of Arts in Communication. Dr. Harney holds several credentials including the Grant Professional Certified (GPC), Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), Certified Association Executive (CAE), and Certified Volunteer Administrator (CVA). She is also an Approved Trainer for the Grant Professionals Association.

Dr. Harney is the former Executive Director of the Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance (AFWA) and The Foundation of AFWA, as well as the co-founder of a social enterprise catering company, a fair chance employer of women in treatment for substance use disorders. Her work in programs for women and girl’s empowerment led to recognition from the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Lexington Chapter with the Tribute Award, the Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road Council with the Honor Pin, and the Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity with the Herbert G. Horton Award for Scouting and Youth Services.
